Professional photographer

Born in Madrid, Spain in 1966. Since I was a kid I have been sailing and taking photos. I started sailing in Optimist Class ,Vaurien and 470. I have sailed around the world for a few years, 7 ocean crossings, two times Cape Horn and Antartica. Worked as professional Skipper for 10 years and took part in many regattas as an amateur. In 2007 I decided to jump into photography professionally and since then it has been a great journey , taking part in some of the most exciting events and meeting lots of sailing legends. Vendee Globe, America´s Cup, Olympic Games and Volvo Ocean Race together with many other amazing regattas and teams.
Now I worked most of the time for Sailing Energy with my friend and Partner Pedro Martinez.


Olympic champion

Sofia Bekatorou is the most successful Greek female sailor with two Olympic medals: Gold with Emilia Tsoulfa in 470 and Bronze with Sofia Papadopoulou and Virginia Kravarioti in the Yngling class. Sofia is the only female sailor who competed in 3 different classes in Olympic Games with more recently the RIO 2016 Olympics in Nacra 17 along with Michalis Pateniotis. She was also the only female tactician in the Farr 40 class and strategist in TP 52 class in 2005. Bekatorou who is mother of two children is Vice Chair in World Sailing’s Athletes commission.

Cory Silken is a yachting and luxury lifestyle photographer based in Newport, USA. Silken regularly travels to the Caribbean and throughout the world for fine art and commercial projects. His dynamic and creative imagery appears in most of the major yachting magazines around the globe, and is published in numerous books. 

He also photographs regattas for title sponsors such as Panerai and Bacardi, and does private commissions with discerning superyacht owners around the globe. Silken has recently teamed up with 11th Hour Racing as their Visual Ambassador, to help promote environmental sustainability.


Member of the Executive Committee, Mirabaud & Cie SA

Nicolas Mirabaud holds an MA in Business Law, an MBA and a Federal diploma as an expert in finance and investment. He began his career with the eponymous bank in 1999 as a fund analyst. In 2001 he joined the bank’s wealth management department. Since 2016 he has been Head of Wealth Management and a member of the Executive Committee of Mirabaud & Cie SA. In 2016 he became Limited Partner of the Group.



Groupama, Ericsson, Banque Populaire, Foncia, PRB or Sodebo are some of sailing’s most involved sponsors. What do they have in common? When they want their boats to look good, and their logos featured at the right place, they contact Jean-Baptiste Epron. Aged 50, and living between Paris and Britanny, the artists’ designs can be seen everywhere. He knows better than anyone where to put a logo, what color to use, what mistakes to avoid… He is regularly involved in the world’s biggest races such as the America’s Cup or the Volvo Ocean Race.


Founder and Editor-in-chief

Brice Lechevalier is founder and Editor-in-chief of the magazines Skippers, Voile & Océan (the official magazine of the Swiss Sailing Federation) and GMT (the leading Swiss watchmaking press), from which he chooses almost all the photos in each issue. He also directs the publication of the magazine of the Société Nautique de Genève and the watch news website His passion for writing and photography dates back to the end of his international business studies, when he created and published one of the first books of colour photographs about Le Havre. Before entering publishing in 2000, he worked in the tourism sector for seven years, notably at the head of the European management of the Sunsail boat rental company.
